Comprehensive Safety Policy
1. Purpose
The purpose of this Safety Policy is to establish clear guidelines and expectations that ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all employees, subcontractors, and visitors. Safety is a core value and takes precedence over productivity when necessary.
2. Safety Commitment
Moore Security Solutions, LLC is committed to:
- Preventing workplace injuries and illnesses
- Complying with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA standards
- Providing proper training, equipment, and supervision
- Promoting a culture where safety is everyone’s responsibility
All employees are expected to actively participate in maintaining a safe work environment.
3. Roles and Responsibilities
Management
- Provide safe working conditions and proper equipment
- Enforce safety policies and procedures
- Ensure employees are properly trained
- Conduct regular safety audits
Supervisors / Leads
- Conduct daily Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
- Identify and mitigate hazards before work begins
- Ensure proper use of PPE and equipment
- Stop work if unsafe conditions exist
Employees
- Follow all safety procedures and policies
- Use required PPE at all times
- Report unsafe conditions immediately
- Refuse unsafe work without fear of retaliation
4. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Required PPE (Minimum Standards)
- Hard hats
- Safety glasses with side shields
- High-visibility vest or shirt
- Work gloves (task-specific)
- Steel-toe or composite-toe boots
Task-Specific PPE
- Fall protection harness and lanyard (when working at heights)
- Face shields (for cutting/drilling)
- Hearing protection (in high-noise environments)
- Respiratory protection (when required)
PPE Requirements
- PPE must be inspected before each use
- Damaged or defective PPE must be replaced immediately
- PPE must be worn at all times in designated areas
5. Lift Safety (Scissor Lifts & Aerial Lifts)
General Requirements
- Only trained and authorized personnel may operate lifts
- Operators must inspect lifts before each use
- Follow manufacturer guidelines at all times
Pre-Use Inspection
- Check guardrails, controls, tires, and alarms
- Inspect hydraulic systems for leaks
- Ensure emergency lowering system is functional
- Verify load capacity is not exceeded
Safe Operation
- Maintain both feet firmly on the platform floor
- Do not climb, sit, or stand on guardrails
- Keep body inside guardrails at all times
- Do not use ladders or boxes on the platform
- Ensure stable, level ground before elevating
Fall Protection
- Harness and lanyard required when specified by site or lift type
- Tie-off must be to manufacturer-approved anchor points
Spotter / Ground Person
- Required when operating in congested or high-risk areas
- Maintain clear communication with operator
- Keep personnel clear of lift travel path
- Watch for overhead hazards and obstructions
Work Area Safety
- Barricade work area when necessary
- Maintain safe clearance from power lines
- Be aware of overhead obstructions (piping, conduit, beams)
Prohibited Actions
- Moving the lift while elevated unless designed for it
- Exceeding weight limits
- Operating in high winds or unsafe weather
- Using damaged or malfunctioning equipment
6. Fall Protection
- Required for work at heights of 6 feet or more (or per site rules)
- Approved harness and lanyard must be used
- Anchor points must be rated and approved
- 100% tie-off required when exposed to fall hazards
7. Walking & Working Surfaces
- Maintain clear access paths at all times
- Do not walk on conduit, piping, or unstable surfaces unless:
- Proper fall protection is in place
- Surfaces are verified to support weight
- Use approved access methods (lifts, ladders, scaffolding) whenever possible
8. Electrical Safety
- Assume all circuits are energized unless verified otherwise
- Use insulated tools and proper lockout/tagout procedures
- Maintain safe distances from live components
- Only qualified personnel may perform electrical work
9. Housekeeping
- Keep work areas clean and free of debris
- Properly store tools and materials
- Secure cords and cables to prevent trip hazards
- Remove trash daily
10. Hazard Communication
- Follow all SDS (Safety Data Sheet) requirements
- Label all chemicals properly
- Use appropriate PPE when handling hazardous materials
11. Incident Reporting
- All incidents, injuries, and near misses must be reported immediately
- Supervisors must document and investigate incidents
- Corrective actions must be implemented promptly
12. Emergency Procedures
- Know site-specific emergency plans
- Identify exits, muster points, and emergency contacts
- Report emergencies immediately
- Do not re-enter hazardous areas until cleared
13. Training Requirements
- OSHA safety training (as required)
- Lift operation certification
- Fall protection training
- PPE training
- Job-specific safety training
14. Stop Work Authority
All employees have the authority and responsibility to stop work if:
- Unsafe conditions exist
- Proper PPE is not available
- Work cannot be performed safely
Work may only resume once hazards are corrected.
15. Enforcement
Failure to comply with this safety policy may result in:
- Verbal or written warnings
- Removal from job site
- Termination of employment

All employees must acknowledge that they have read, understand, and agree to follow this Safety Policy.
